What to do if you are involved in an accident: • Contact the police no matter how minor the accident • Keep your vehicle in place unless it creates a hazard • If you smell leaking gas, call the fire department and clear the area • If another driver is involved, get his or her license number, registration and insurance information • Record names, addresses and phone numbers of other driver, passengers and witnesses • Make a sketch or take a photo of the situation • Note the time of the accident and conditions • Ask the investigating officer where and how to obtain a copy of the police report

soon as possible to report a claim After you leave the scene: • Save copies of all documents sent or received • Send us promptly any legal papers received relating to a claim or settlement
